I usually only write reviews for books I really love or I really hate. I definitely did NOT love this book. If I could have given it minus stars, I would have. Where to begin... It seemed to be very immature writing. The main characters couldn't make up their minds and stick to it. The story went from boring to highly unrealistic to dragging. But the worst thing was the non-existence of any proof reading or editing. This writer apparently doesn't own a dictionary or understand Past Tense. It was full of grammatical errors, typos, using wrong pronouns, missing words, etc. Almost every paragraph had an error of some kind. (I don't know what "Liberians" are; but I do know about librarians. This was not a typo. The writer used it twice!) It seemed like lazy writing. I had to force myself to finish reading it; and then wished I hadn't bothered. Deleted from my Kindle and my Amazon Library. I will not read any further books from this writer.Product details

Anna is leaving her past behind and is starting off fresh in a small town . Steven Carson is a small town attorney who by second nature always knows when something is right for him and when he finds it he goes straight for him but unknown to him one rainy night his life is now in for a drastic change. Who knew one woman can tie a man in so many knots.
This is a small novel but its packs so many emotions into it .Anna and Steven go through a lot in the shot time that they are together. This is a short novel that if your looking for a Hea and a sweet romance then ms.Blair definitely delivers that .
This is a basic romance story. Anna moves to a new town to start a new life. She is not looking for love but she meets Steven. He is the type of man who always knows what he wants and he falls in love with Anna. This book was a little slow at times but it was a good story. I enjoyed it.
In the beginning, I wanted to read the book because the main character was biracial & so am I. But as the book went along I thought it was very slow. Female character was stuck up & male character was a wuss. Book couldn't be finished & was deleted off my .
I enjoyed the story, but was distracted by the many typos & poor editing in the book. I was impressed enough by the story line that I will probably read the rest of the books in the series.
This was offered as a freebie, but I would have paid to read this short story! It kept my interest and even though predictable you want to read the outcome, you want to believe that what happens actually happens. I will definitely read more of B.L. Blair's work.
The storyline is interesting but I am being pulled out of the story by several editing misses. If you get pulled out of a story by errors, such as, he instead of she, his instead of he, letters left out like the 'r' left out of shirt, and the like, this story might be hard for you to read. With more editing I think this would be a great story, so for that reason I give it 3 stars.
First of all; I think it had a little too much internal dialogue going on. Sometimes I became a little bored and annoyed. It also could use either a good proof reader, or a good editor, because there was also quite a few grammar errors that seriously needs to be fixed to make it more enjoyable for the reader.
Other than those two small things I think it was a pretty good read.
Steven and Anna have felt a very strong attraction towards one another, since that early morning accident on the foggy highway right outside of town. Steven is the type of person who knows exactly what he wants the minute he sees it, but Anna is the complete opposite. She's still suffering from a bad childhood with an abusive father, so much so...that she finds herself fearful of all men. It doesn't help that she also came from a mixed marriage. After her mother died of cancer, Anna decides to move to a new town, in order to start a new life... where no one knows her background. The question is....will she be able to put the past behind her, or will she carry those problems and fears with her? Will she be able to trust a man again, or will she end up throwing away the love of her life, all because of her past fears?
Would I recommend this book? Yes.
